Cards to Celebrate the 4th!

This past weekend, I was having fun at a retreat hosting by Scrapbook U. If you haven't been on a retreat lately, you should really consider one. Getting away from the responsibilities at home and spending the weekend laughing with friends and playing with paper is so relaxing.

This Statue of Liberty Stamp is beautiful!

I saw this design on the Close To My Heart Facebook page. It was designed by Elizabeth Mindemann. I made a couple slight changes-- but really I scrap lifted this one almost completely. Love it!

Thank You Teachers!

My kids have some wonderful teachers. We have had a great year and now it is time to thank them.

I decided to use the special A True Thank You stamp. This stamp is just $2.95 -- every penny goes to Oklahoma tornado relief. It is really a win-win situation. I get a great stamp and we help those who lost so much in the disaster.

I also used Scholastic paper, the stamp from the Scholastic scrapbooking kit (retired), and some cranberry bakers twine.

I made 15 of these cards! I was really tired of making them by the end but I think they came out nice. My kids like them but are not happy that now they need to write their notes.

Home of the Brave Card

I added a little bit of Tommy paper since I made this card for my nephew who is serving our country in the Navy.

Another Birthday Card

Another birthday card using the same paper and stamps as the last post. On this card, I used the For Always card making kit as an inspiration. It is the same design as the kit. I just changed the stamp set to the Perfect Fit Birthday stamps. It worked out perfectly. Once again I gotta tell ya I just love that Perfect Fit birthday set. It is a must have.

Birthday Card Using For Always Paper

I made this quick birthday card using For Always paper. My niece loves blue so I sponged the white part of the paper with twilight ink. I also used the glitter paper (black and grey set) and the Perfect Fit Birthday stamp set.

Perfect Fit Birthday stamp set is a great birthday set. For just $9.95, it is well worth the price. I have used it several times already with plans for more. I am really getting my money's worth.
