Halloween Cards

I'm having fun playing with Halloween cards today.

Supplies used:
Moonlight Paper Pack  (X7161B)
Creepy Creatures stamp set (C1522)
Silver Shimmer Trim (Z1799)
Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel (Z1313)
Colonial White paper
Black Ink
Top card- black paper
bottom card- Metallic Markers (Z1768)

The top card is a 3 x 3 card. The bottom card is 5 1/2 x 4 1/2. I rubbed Glitz on the ghosts to give it a sparkly shimmer and then put it on 3-D tape. They were both quick, easy, and fun cards.

More Halloween cards to come later this week.

Fall Favorites Card

This is from another blog. Annette Green has a lot of nice art work posted.

I do love this stamp set. The Fall Favorites stamp set is this month's stamp of the month-- only available through the end of the month. She used the Flirty paper pack. I am not a big fan of orange. But I do love the orange in this paper pack. I will be using it a lot for the Holiday Extravaganza and in my Fall Card Workshops.

Don't forget to order this stamp set before the end of the month.

Have fun with paper today!

Beginning an Album

I had a lot of fun cropping at Scrapbook Territory the other day with my good friends, Meridith and Terese. I am happy to report that I was very successful in my crafting. Many times, I sit and talk and just play with my pictures and paper instead of getting things done. This time I not only had a great time with my friends but I also did a lot of organizing of pictures, planned out 7 pages, and completed 3. What a great day!

I am beginning an album all about my family's trips to camp. I volunteer at a Girl Scout camp. My 3 kids come too (even my sons). I wanted to have one album just for our home in the Sierras.  Here is the title page of the album.

Materials used:
Papers: outdoor denim and the green print from the Flirty paper pack. I also used a  little Bo Bunny chocolate polka dot since I forgot my CTMH chocolate at home.
Burlap ribbon (Z1760)
Canvas Alphabet (Z1777) inked with chocolate

I just love the canvas alphabet and the burlap ribbon. They go really well together.

Next in the album will be 6 pages for our first year at camp. A 2 pages layout for my daughter's unit, 2 pages for my sons', and 2 pages for mine. I should have those finished today. Later this week, I will work on the next year. I am hoping to finish up all 6 years of camp by the end of the month when we hold my daughter's Girl Scout Gold Award ceremony.

Be sure to have fun with your paper today!

Fall Box

Here's a little box I made with the Fall Favorites set.

I used Cocoa paper with the Artiste cartridge. Cut at 4 inches, the box is the 3-D image on 7 key of the cartridge (page 37 of the Artiste booklet). The box is easy to put together-- no adhesive needed! The burlap ribbon (Z1760) is great on everything!  I used the Fall Favorites set is stamped on colonial white paper. The Fall Favorites set is the September stamp of the month.

A great set that is only $5 when you place a $50 order and only available during September.

Have fun with some fall projects today!

I am hosting a card workshop during the day on September 13. I have had several people ask about a daytime workshop but have never had a lot of luck with them. Well, I thought I'd try it out again for a few months and see what happens.

On September 13 at 10:00, please join me at a Flirty paper card workshop. Cost is just $10 for 4-5 projects including the above card. Workshop is in the Fremont area. Email me today (cathryno@gmail.com) if you are interested.

Coffee Anyone?

I saw the Cup of Cheer (B1404) set and I knew I must have it. I love my coffee. My good friend also loves coffee. For her birthday, I like to get her a Peet's gift card since Peet's is her favorite morning stop.

It only took me a few moments to put this card together. When I bought the gift card, I also picked up a sleeve. I used Scholastic paper, inking the edges with cocoa ink. I stamped the beans from Cup of Cheer across the bottom and attached the sleeve. I also glued the bottom of the sleeve so that the gift card would not slip out. Then I attached the paper to the card base.

Inside the card I added the sentiment and a cup of coffee. This picture is terrible! Sorry. I wish I noticed the picture was off before I signed the card and gave it to my friend at her birthday dinner. But you get the idea. This set is perfect for any coffee lover.
